C. William Carspecken, MD, MSc, MBA
Dr. Carspecken is a board certified anesthesiologist who has cared for adult, pediatric, and obstetric patients at academic medical centers, community hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and a Level I trauma center in California, Colorado, and Montana.
He trained at the University of Washington as a Bonica Scholar, where he led a randomized clinical trial of ketamine anesthesia in electroconvulsive therapy for depression. As a faculty clinical instructor and NIH funded T32 research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, he studied how the brain moves between conscious states and helped develop a noninvasive imaging method for measuring anesthetic concentration in the human brain.
His training in biomedical engineering and business lets him work comfortably between clinicians, engineers, and business teams.
